Shogi (sounds like ryoji, but is not) is very fun.
Take 20 pieces for each side, a 9x9 board, the ability to promote each and every piece that is on the board AND place captured pieces on the board, and you get...
SHOGI! Also known as japanese chess.
But it's very easy to make blunders, especially when you keep on thinking that the pawns can eat sideways. And that promoted bishops cannot eat sideways. And that knights cannot move back. Confusing.
Bowling competition was very fail today. The pins were too light, my arm was aching like **** and i was feeling super tired cos i was playing shogi until 12 the day before...
So i bowled badly. Very badly. And i wonder how much alex beat me by =\
I am going to get braces this sat. Die.

Ok i havent done a single scrap of work today.
I feel very unproductive and sian and unmotivated today.
And I must stop pissing siak peng off during chem RA class too much, lest he stop letting us hug him D=
Now i have two dilemmas. Anyone want to convince me on the matters?:
1) Should i join facebook? 2) Should i watch some random kdrama?
And it seems that I will probably win my bet with chev! =D Free drink xD
And lastly, on a more serious tone,
I'm just going to blog here about my paternal grandfather, who passed away on last sat. Seeing that last sat was valentine's day, it's somewhat ironic...but I guess that's sort of a special way of saying goodbye and i love you to all of my family =)
I wonder whether I should be posting this...it seems sort of taboo and all, but i guess now that ive started to blog about it i guess i should finish it =\
His funeral was held this afternoon, and for the past 3 nights there was his wake. But I cant really say this his death was sudden =\...he was already at late stage heart failure, and had bladder problems and lots of other stuff from old age =\
I must honestly say that i didnt know my grandad very well. Even though he lived in my house for about 1 and a half months since jan...I never got to know him. Partly because he never really had the strength to talk, and partly because well, I guess i didnt try hard enough.
Actually, although his body was quite weak, the few times I actually took the effort to get to know him, his mind was actually quite sharp. And I kinda regret now that I didnt try to get to know my own grandfather ><
But, well, now at least he's gone to a better place. I hope he's happy wherever he is. =)
Let this be a reminder to me and everyone else. Seriously treasure your friends, and family and pets and everyone who is close to you, because that time that you can spend with them, although long, shortens every day =\
So treasure your loved ones and keep them close to you always! =) I think that's what my grandad was trying to say when he chose valentine's day to leave.

ooohh..i just realised the previous post is post 88. So auspicious xD
So I'm almost at by first 3 digit number =D So i guess ill spam lots of little posts with nothing in them just to give me the satisfaction of seeing the 2 little zeros behind the 1 =DD
Today we had RE presentation during lunch and RE preperation during recess. Since I realised my life, and more importantly, my stomach was in danger, I decided to bring this nice FULL container of choc chip cookies (that tasted vaguely salty...)
Now that many hungry RI boys have koped a few cookies each (2 prefects included =P), I'm left with this next-to-empty cookie jar.
And next to it is my next to empty PINEAPPLE TART jar. Wonder who devoured the whole thing D< Nvm, you saved me from growing any fatter =P
I didnt go for bowling today. I feel vaguely rebellious. Rawr. And I'm not going on wed cos i have to go for some eh....function in the afternoon, so I'll only be training once before the comp on sat = gg xD
And now we're severely behind time for math class....cos eddie chua pon too much math lessons without getting a relief teacher lol. Sigh...after all those free periods it's damn difficult to get back to a full day without any of those free periods xD.
And I seriously think that eddie chua should name his new-born son (the reason behind his poning of all those math lessons) after something school related. Like Daniel, or russell, or siak peng, or something along those lines xD

Sorry for the late wishing =P. Didnt feel like blogging yesterday xD.
Today is Valentine's day. Of no importance to me, except for the fact that I have a bowling competition and RE project to do today >.>
I feel vaguely sad that Im spending this whole day only with guys. But no, I'm not gay =P xD
Lucky people that can spend this day with their special someone, treausre that person. Well i dont have much to say LOL. But hopefully in a couple years (or probably more) down the road, I'll be able to spend this day well, with someone special too xD.

Yay feeling happier today! =D
A good night's sleep works wonders =) And so does having a free period today, and playing piano and etc =D
But my mum is suanning me now D=. She took the piece i was playing and just decided to sightread it...and played it almost perfectly after 5 min? =\
But im grade 2 while she's grade 8 so xD Nothing to be ashamed abt i guess =D
Siak peng's lesson was fun. Not today's one, the one where we made the bomb xD. Siak peng has finally shown his NON MUGGER SIDE! Oo We koped lots of random stuff (the products and leftover reactants) of the reaction like some shiny aluminum and some eh aluminum oxide i think. Which i lost.
But still, the bomb was fun, and lots of us have videos/photos of it! But im too lazy so yeah. Just imagine 100 sparklers going off at the same time =DD
So tmr we are going to show siak peng the love. Also means a group hug on a horizontal plane, with siak peng closest to the ground.
And we might buy him a box of chocolates for valentines day! Without the chocolates of cos =)

1) Dunking of president yeo
After the charity dinner on friday, a few people, (who shall not be named to protect their identiy), attempted to dunk President yeo into th RI swimming pool. However, it was unfortunate that they were uncessful in their attempts. Despite overcoming yeo's constant and violent struggles, they were finally stopped by the swimming coach who was still at the swimming pool at about 9pm in the night for some strange reason. >.>
But Kirk must be dunked. On promethium day (spelling?). Beware. =P
2) Exchange students from taiwan
The speak CHINESE. Aaaand there are 3 of them sitting too close for comfort. Due to the fact that i cant hold a decent conversation in chinse, I felt quite claustrophobic. Luckily president yeo was there to save the day xD
Even though i was one of the people who tried to dunk him. lol.
It seems that shawn's buddy was quite popular even after 1 day. More than half the class crowded around HER (yes, it was a girl) and well, tried to talk to her/ attract her attention etc. It was vaguely amusing =P

3) DENTIST
Due to some weird thingy concerning the lengthening of my jaw and such, it seems that i am only going to start wearing braces as of eh....a few weeks time D=.
This means that i have to stand 2 years of pain and suffering and that it will cut in ALL THE WAY TO MID JC2. WHY OH WHY MUST I HAVE THEM SO LATE??? D=
Ah well...at the risk of sounding cliche, better late than never xD
And i had to go to the dentist today to go and extract two teeth. And it's bleeding like some ****. Argh. And my mouth is STILL numb after goodness knows how long (2hrs!!?!??!?!)
And the bottom of my nose (left side) is slightly numb. Such a weird feeling xD. Argh....im going to have 2 holes in my teeth tmr. I'm going to look so weird NOOOO.

Argh I feel quite bored.
Even though i've tried dota, and psp, and xbox, and origami, and piano, and now trying to download maple, still feeling bored =\
Now i feel quite uselss. Sigh.
I seriously think the root cause is the lack of my social circle. It's more like a social dot. Or smth. And no one talks to me on msn =\. And those that normally do are busy doing something else, like watching **** club
But to whoever reads my blog: dont talk to me just cos you read this. I'll prob go away in a while =P

Rawr im going to rejoin maple on delphinus with darren and wesley and martin.
COS IM BORED.
I'm doing lots of things cos im really bored. Started randomly playing piano, doing origami, going to the gym (once), and now im going to start mapling again xD
I feel vaguely accomplished that i can finally do a pull up (or maybe two if i feel good/lighter/just before i eat and just after i pee)...but im aiming for at least a B, and if possible, A....so long way more to go
Yay Aaron has aquired the following skill: make crude origami crane. Thanks to wneg hong, chev and clement for teaching me xD. And for popular for selling the paper. =DD

Today was vaguely slack, with 2 periods with no teachers, Eng and CLE (cos eddie chua decided to pangseh us and go for tennis instead D<)
So we spent english watching the very boring documentaries. Princess Diana's biography documentary thing is damn boring...it consits of pictures of her, video of interview, pictures of interview, more pictures, and a voice that nearly put me to sleep. And princess diana is not even that chio...
So natually i went to watch other stuff or just simply play with my newly bought RUBRICS CUBE! $9.95 gst included for a very smooth cube. Not bad xD
Sylvia, which is supposedly the biography for ted hughes, is R-rated, and one group is watching it. Dont ask how RI thinks.

Supposed to be learning about "tragedy of the commons", but all we ended up doing was trying to make each other comps lag by opening the most number of windows on the other guy's comp.
Martin is the most imba though. He connected his keyboard to my comp, so when i tried to lag his comp i effectively suicided. And had to shut down my comp.
And today I randomly joined chev's class for history lesson even though i dont take hist xD. But i was feeling bored and random so i decided to attend a hist lesson for fun =P.
And I like Ms Keh's (spelling?) style of teaching....cos i forgot abt her style in lower sec xD. Quite itneresting to listen to, and there's some structure of teaching. Of course i like other teachers like MR LAW! and MR CHUA! AND MRS NATHAN! AND NOT FORGETTING DR KSP! And Mrs OWL is olso a great teacher xD...just that a bit haphazard and i get lost (as usual) in her lessons =P.
And actually even ms niu is not that bad xD. Pity she's a chinese teacher though =\. Cant get over my deep rooted prejudice...
Notice who i left out. (Main subjects only. SS doesnt count as a subject...judgement for that teacher still reserved. Philo is bleh.)
And today in bowling we had some random fun test game thingy. LOWEST SCORE WINS. Sounds weird right? xD But....
1st ball miss = strike 2nd ball miss = spare
So the aim of the game is to chop/kill/assasinate only the 7 and 10 pins, which are the extreme left and right pins without touching the rest. Of course sometimes that's overambitious and i gutter but it's still fun xD.
And in the context above, a quote from a fellow bowler, Daryl Yang of 4H:
"I really can't bowl spares...every line is my strike line!"
In other words, it seems that he striked when striking is the worst possible outcome xD.
Oh and btw darren and daron (if you actually read my blog)...thanks for the concern on that night after discussion of RE xD. I appreciate the care and concern =D. But I havent really deicided yet so yeah =P.
And I realise I have this cursed ability to piss people off to extreme ends. Whether it's intentional or unintentional =\. Sigh.
